Hi, I’m Maddie, the heart behind Pawtastic Adventures!

From a young age, animals have always been at the centre of my world. Growing up with dogs gave me an early understanding of their personalities, needs, and the unconditional love they give. That passion turned into a career path: I’ve studied animal behaviour, welfare, and training in depth, and I hold a Diploma in Zoology, which has given me strong knowledge of animal biology, conservation, and behaviour.

Alongside my studies, I’ve gained hands-on experience in a variety of animal care settings, including time at the RSPCA, a veterinary practice, and even within dog grooming—all of which taught me how to handle animals with patience, confidence, and care.

I’m also pet first-aid trained, meaning I know how to respond quickly and calmly in case of emergencies. This training ensures your furry friends are in safe hands, no matter what happens on our adventures.

At home, I’m lucky to share my life with two very different dogs:

• Dinah – a wise and gentle 13-year-old Labrador

• Bella – a cheeky, playful 5-year-old Pug/Dachshund mix

Every dog I meet is treated like one of my own. Whether it’s a pup learning the ropes, a senior who needs a slower pace, or an excitable adventurer, I adapt each walk to match their personality, energy, and needs. For me, Pawtastic Adventures isn’t just a business—it’s a way of sharing my love, knowledge, and commitment to animals with others.
